Welcome to MOMLETA

Strong. Supported. Connected. MOMLETA is a fitness community built for moms — and for anyone looking for personalized training. Whether you’re bringing a baby, a toddler, or just yourself, our classes are designed to help you move, grow, and feel your best.

What makes MOMLETA unique is that our instructors are specially trained in postpartum needs — including modifications for pelvic floor recovery and safe return to movement. Whether you’re newly postpartum or years into motherhood, we’ll help you feel strong and supported.

At MOMLETA, fitness is more than just exercise — it’s connection. Our small group classes create a space where moms support each other, share laughs, and celebrate wins together. Here, you’ll find encouragement, accountability, and a sense of belonging.

Fun, adaptable, and energizing — our classes mix strength, cardio, and mobility so you get a full-body workout. Bring your little one in a stroller, involve a toddler, or come solo. All fitness levels are welcome, with a focus on progress, not perfection.

Mary is mom to Liam (5/16/07), Sinead (6/15/10), and Jameson (7/17/12), and has owned MOMLETA Oakland since April 2009. She has a B.A. in English and French Literature from U.C. San Diego, and was a 7th Grade English Teacher in a past life.

 

Mary works hard to make MOMLETA classes fun and challenging, and wants to help motivate moms to reach their goals and potential. She strives to create a community of active, healthy moms.

 

Mary's "AHA" moment came when she started taking MOMLETA classes after her first son was born. She was about 40 pounds overweight before she got pregnant and then put on 50 pounds with pregnancy. She lost all of the weight with MOMLETA classes; and, more importantly, met an amazing community of moms and found the support she needed to help her through those exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes lonely postpartum times. She realized that she had a true success story that she wanted to share with other moms.

 

Mary loves to exercise in the beautiful outdoors of Oakland, and is excited to share her passion for fitness with you!

Ariana Heller

Ariana has always been passionate about fitness until pregnancy complications early in the pregnancy led to surgery and modified bedrest. When ready to return to exercise, she discovered MOMLETA, which helped her rebuild strength while providing the challenge she craved. The fresh air workouts and connections with other parents combated early motherhood isolation and restored her well-being. This transformative experience inspired her to become an instructor seven years ago.

As a clinical psychologist and mother of twin 9½-year-olds, Ariana brings a unique perspective to her classes, understanding first hand how exercise with community support outdoors serves as one of the most powerful therapeutic interventions available. She incorporates psychology-based principles into her sessions, recognizing how mental state directly impacts physical performance and overall wellness.

Ariana’s classes are yoga-inspired and mobility-focused with thoughtfully curated music, but don’t be fooled—they’re challenging workouts designed for all fitness levels.
